For the first Black Hole Club show of 2019 I produced the installation Collide.
Collide is an interactive pixel data sonification installation that uses movement to create generative sound, visuals and haptic feedback. RGB data is analysed of the viewer and converted into these multiple mediums with the sonic output finally being processed by a SUBPAC, a wearable vest that consists of a combination of tactile transducers, vibro-tactile membranes, electronics and textiles, designed to deliver a physical dimension of sound.
By converting image into sound, sound into image and finally into a physical sensation, Collide aims to create a multisensorial installation experience that explores the relationship between disparate mediums.
The installation used my own bespoke pixel data sonification system built in Max.
